Meet Esau a 33 year old male slave worker, his German sounding name isn’t one he is proud of, yet it is the name his German owners gave him as soon as he was born. He was born in Germany too a young woman who previously had given birth to several daughters and sons. His current owner is a cruel man in Savannah, Georgia who has refused to liberate his slaves just as he refuses to teach them basic reading and writing. Esau’s biggest dream is to have children with a free black woman.
